ProTools on the cheap
ProTools now comes bundled with various hardware configurations; with a mic, with a keyboard, and with a USB interface. Not bad to get you started. What seems to be the most annoying problem is that the hardware you use serves as the iLok key, and therefore it must be attached to use the software. Still, pretty good to start, though I prefer Reaper
